The Red Shutter is located in the historic railroad town of Starr, a SC Heritage Corridor Community. The town's name, originally known as Twiggs, was changed to Starr in 1884 to honor a popular railway official. The town was a thriving community when "cotton was king".
When you fist step into this farmhouse you step back into the classic south while enjoying modern amenities. The wrap around porch is the perfect place to relax and remember those Sunday visits at grandma's.
The Red Shutter is close to historic downtown Abbeville, Anderson and Hartwell. Conveniently located to Lake Hartwell and Lake Russell. It is also only 30 minutes to Clemson and 45 minutes to Greenville.
